Tracy Griffith, the daughter of actor Peter Griffith and half-sister of actress Melanie Griffith, had appeared in episodes of such popular television shows as 21 Jump Street and Family Ties. She auditioned for the role of Molly Nagle in Sleepaway Camp II and lost to Renee Estevez. Michael A. Simpson liked her so much that he cast her as Marcia in the third film and as Samantha Brooks in his comedy Fast Food.
In recent years Tracy has become an accomplished chef, gaining renown for her speciality - sushi. If Michael A. Simpson's Sleepaway Camp Berserk is produced, there is a cameo written for her to return as Marcia.
