Mike Kellin served in the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander during World War II. Following the war, he attended the Yale School of Drama and became an actor. Between 1950 and 1983, Mike appeared in dozens of films, plays, and television episodes, such as Lost in Space, The Twilight Zone, Barney Miller, The Untouchables, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. He was nominated for an Oscar for playing Mr. Hayes in Midnight Express in 1978.

Sleepaway Camp was Mike's last film before he passed away from lung cancer.
